This beautiful layout by  in the Pinterest gallery inspired me.

Here is my version of the same layout.

The paper I used was Buzz & Bumble and I liked the idea of a tone on tone background paper so I used the Stamp of the Month from last October which just happened to have a honeycomb pattern!  The Sunflowers are the Stamp of the Month from May 2012 stamped on "Dotty for You" paper.

Thanks for looking,

Now hop on over to Cheryl Peyton's Blog and see what inspired her!

I decided to do a little "wet" embossing.
That's a misnomer, it's not really wet!

Here's the steps you follow if you've never done it before:

1)  Stamp your CTMH stamp onto a Versa Mark Pad.  It is clear and acts like a type of sticky glue, and stamp the image onto your paper.

2)  Sprinkle embossing powder over the image, then gently tip it so the extra falls off.  You will see that it has only stuck to the stamped image.

Embossing powders come in all different colours and textures (ie. glitter)  I chose to do white so I could add my own colour with ink after it is embossed.

3)  Using a heating gun (tool) start to heat the  image from about 8" away and you will see the powder start to melt.  I guess this is what they would call the "wet" part, but it is still not wet because almost as soon as you heat it, it cools and becomes hard and shiny.

This is pretty much it!  Easy huh!

4)  Here's the fun part!  I used sponge dobbers (you can also use pieces of sponge cut up) and added various colours.  You can see where the white embossing is resisting the ink and therefore colouring in the backgound of the image.  Pretty!

Here's the finished product.
I will be adding the word "Mom" on a small white tag to the pink card to the left, and "Friend" to the card to the right.

If you came from Cheryl Petyon of http://peytonspaperplace.blogspot.ca  then you are in the right place!

I made a picture frame for my favourite picture of my daughter and I.

The frame is from the dollar store, but the rest of the project is all Close To My Heart.

As you can see, I used the Surf's Up paper, it matched the colours and spirit of the photo perfectly.   The rose is cut from Chantilly paper  and the swirl is Later Sk8r paper.  Both were cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge.  "I Love You" came from the Artiste cartridge and I used the Bonding Memories glue to adhere the Prisma Glitter to it and popped it up!

Unfortunatly the photos do not do the project justice.  It is very vibrant in real life and the glitter title is really eye catching.

As an additional project I made a quick card with Chantilly paper, Surfs Up paper and paper I made myself with the awesomely fun spritz pen!  The wee fishy's (Under the Sea) bubbles are made with Glossy Accents.

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own projects using some of the designs and paper seen along the way. Join us again in next month when we will be featuring scrapbooking and card making techniques!

CTMH Frame with Avonlea Paper

This was a snap to make!
The CTMH frame is already put together and all you have to do is decorate it.

The part that was hard for me is deciding what to put on as embellishments.

The Roses and fanfold round thingy were cut with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.
